Fire Shutters

Fire shutters are a electrically operated shutter consisting of a steel slatted curtain and galvanised steel box assembly and guide rails.

One, two or four hour rating options available.

The product is designed to be a security barrier during normal use and to be closed automatically during test or an emergency situation. In the event of receiving a fire alarm signal the shutter will perform a powered descent to create a fire resistant barrier. In the event of a power failure the shutter close using the battery back up.

Approved Standards

The fire resistance performance of the shutter:

  • BS 476: Part 22: 1987
  • BS EN 1634-1: 2008

 The product was tested and approved by Exova Warrington fire, report no 312862

Size Limitations

  • Minimum width and height : 800mm
  • Maximum width 7 metres x Maximum height 7metres

Construction

Curtain

  • 75mm scrolled or 50mm flat
  • (75mm scrolled as standard)

Weight

  • 75mm: 10-16.5kg /m2 dependant upon the size of the curtain and the integrity rating
  • 50mm flat slat 10kg.m2

Bottom rail

  • T section steel: 49mm high x 74mm deep

Guiderails

  • 3mm galvanised steel 50mm or 65mm 

Shutter box

  • Galvanised steel endplates with two piece assembly
  • 250/300 and 350mm sizes

Finish

  • Galvanised steel as standard
  • Can be Powder Coated any colour of your choice. Please see our Additional Colours download

Control

  • FS control panel for connection to Fire alarm 
  • Battery back up
  • Rocker Switch or Key switch

Optional extras
